Artist Bio

Carrie Morgan is a fiber artist based in Bluffdale, Utah, where she transforms tufts of dyed wool into richly textured paintings. Using both wet and needle felting techniques, Carrie layers wool roving onto a wool canvas base, then felts the fibers together with soap, water, and careful hand-rolling. Once dry, she adds detail and depth by needle felting with a barbed needle and enhances dimension and texture with machine stitching and embroidered accents.

Her work reflects a love for the tactile and transformative qualities of wool, celebrating the interplay of color, texture, and dimension. When she isn’t in her studio, Carrie teaches Humanities at Utah Valley University, where she shares her passion for the arts and creative expression with her students.
