“Pandora’s Box” was created by first wet felting wool and silk fibers on a base of white wool batting. After drying, I needle felted and embroidered the painting for added texture and dimension. Finally, I layered on a strand of specialty silk yarn.
The felt is approx. 11" x 11” and is framed in a 13” x 13” white frame. I do not put glass fronts on my paintings, as I believe part of the experience is having direct access to its rich textures. It is recommended that the paintings be hung out of direct sunlight for greatest protection and longevity.
